GLOSSARY TERM
Sub-Affiliate Commission
Sub-affiliate commissions pay recruiters: refer another affiliate to the program and earn typically 2–10% of whatever that affiliate earns, funded by the operator (not deducted from the sub-affiliate).
What it buys and what it risks
It converts well-networked affiliates into a recruiting force — often the cheapest acquisition channel for new partners. Risks: chains of shell sub-accounts farming the override on self-referred traffic, and networks re-brokering your offer at margins that obscure the traffic’s true source. Cap chain depth at one level, require declared traffic sources on all sub-recruits, and audit override concentrations quarterly.
