GLOSSARY TERM

Server Log Tracking

Server log tracking counts every request that hits the tracking or landing server — immune to ad blockers and JavaScript failures, and the most complete record of click volume that exists.

Where it fits

Logs are the arbitration layer: when an affiliate’s click counts and the platform’s dashboard disagree, raw logs settle the argument. They also feed bot filtering, since data-center IPs and headless-browser signatures are visible at the log level before they pollute conversion stats. No serious dispute-resolution process runs without log access.
