GLOSSARY TERM

CDN (Content Delivery Network)

CDNs cache and serve content from edge locations near users: creative assets, landing pages and static resources load locally instead of transcontinentally, with DDoS absorption and WAF layers bundled.

Vertical-relevant notes

Landing-page speed is conversion arithmetic (mobile networks in emerging GEOs punish origin-served pages), creative delivery benefits program-wide (every partner embeds your banner endpoints), and gambling’s DDoS exposure (extortion campaigns target the vertical) makes CDN shielding table stakes. Configuration subtleties: cache rules must respect market-content permissions (the GEO-gated banner served from the wrong edge cache is a compliance incident in miniature).
