GLOSSARY TERM

Affiliate Whitelisting

Whitelisting is exception management: paid-search rights for two trusted partners while PPC stays banned program-wide, GEO unlocks for licensed markets, permission for otherwise-restricted channels.

Run it as an inventory

Ad platforms in regulated markets (Google’s gambling certification, for one) require operators to declare authorized advertisers — an outdated whitelist there is a compliance breach, not an oversight. Keep the whitelist in the platform (flags on accounts), not in a spreadsheet; review quarterly; and revoke on breach with documented cause, because whitelisted partners’ violations are attributed to you at full weight.
