GLOSSARY TERM
Player Journey
Player-journey analysis maps sequences: ad → content → registration → deposit → play patterns → lifecycle events (reload, lapse, reactivation, exclusion).
What journey framing adds
Funnels measure stages; journeys expose paths between them — which content precedes high-value registrations, which early behaviors fork toward retention versus churn, where cross-device gaps lose threads. Attribution debates are journey questions (who owns which touch), as are RG interventions (which path signatures precede harm). Tooling ranges from event-stream analytics to session replay; the analytical discipline is resisting anecdote — journeys are distributions, not the one interesting user someone screen-recorded.
