GLOSSARY TERM

Conversion Pixel

A conversion pixel is pixel tracking applied at the moment of value: it fires when the player completes the tracked action, crediting the click that brought them.

Placement discipline

Fire on the server-confirmed success page only — not on button click, not on a page reachable by URL guessing — or you will pay for phantom conversions. Pass the order of magnitude of data a postback would (goal type, amount), and treat the pixel as backup: when pixel and postback counts diverge more than ~5%, something in the funnel is eating one of them, and reconciliation time is due.
