GLOSSARY TERM

Pixel Tracking

Pixel tracking places a tiny script or image tag on a thank-you or deposit-confirmation page; when the page loads, the pixel fires and records the conversion in the affiliate platform.

Where it still fits

Pixels are quick to deploy — no API work — so they suit fast campaign tests and lower-stakes funnels. For revenue-bearing iGaming conversions they are the weak option: ad blockers, ITP cookie limits and users closing the page early all cause silent under-counting.

Best practice is pixel for redundancy, postback as the source of truth, and a monthly reconciliation between the two to catch drift.
