GLOSSARY TERM
Palpable Error
Palpable-error clauses void bets on manifestly wrong prices: a 20.00 that should be 2.00, transposed handicaps, impossible lines.
The fairness boundary
Licensed-market standards require the error be genuinely obvious, criteria published, and application symmetric — not “we void winners we regret.” ADR rulings police the line, and repeated palp claims on merely generous prices are a brand-reputation self-harm pattern (screenshot, forum thread, news cycle). Terms reviews should read the clause; bettor-side content should teach the difference between an error void and a stall.
