GLOSSARY TERM
In-House Program
In-house means no intermediary: the operator licenses tracking software, employs its own affiliate managers, sets terms and pays partners directly.
The ownership dividend
Direct programs keep the network’s margin, own the partner data (deal history, contacts, performance — a genuine asset at exit), and control compliance enforcement precisely. The price is operational: payments across dozens of countries, fraud screening, tax paperwork and support are now your departments. Rule of thumb: once a market’s affiliate payouts exceed the cost of a manager plus platform fees, in-house pays for itself.
