Source of Funds (SoF)

SoF checks demand evidence — payslips, tax returns, bank statements, sale documents — when deposit patterns exceed risk thresholds or trigger affordability concerns.

The friction frontier

SoF is where compliance meets retention pain: high-value players face document requests mid-relationship, and clumsy handling loses exactly the accounts VIP teams fight for. It also shapes affiliate economics quietly — revshare on a whale can vanish when SoF fails and the account closes with confiscated activity. Operators owning the process well (early, graduated, humane requests) protect both the license and the P&L.
