Data Residency

Data-residency rules pin data geographically: some regimes require player and transaction data hosted in-country or mirrored to regulator-accessible local systems (Germany’s safe server, various national warehousing schemes), and GDPR restricts transfers beyond the EEA.

Platform-selection consequence

Multi-market operators need infrastructure that can partition by jurisdiction — region-selectable hosting, per-market data stores, transfer-mechanism paperwork (SCCs) for what crosses borders. In B2B evaluations this is a hard filter: a tracking or platform vendor without regional deployment options simply can’t serve certain licensed markets, whatever its feature list says.
