GLOSSARY TERM
Tenancy Deal
Tenancy is real estate: the operator rents a slot — position #2 in a comparison table, a sidebar banner, a category page — for a monthly or quarterly fee, regardless of what the slot produces.
Why big publishers prefer it
Predictable revenue without conversion risk, and no exposure to the operator’s funnel quality. For operators, tenancies make sense on placements with proven, stable output where a performance deal would actually cost more — and as market-share plays in launch markets where visibility itself is the goal. Always pair tenancy renewals with delivered-FTD reviews; a tenancy without measurement is a donation.
