GLOSSARY TERM
Duplicate Click Filtering
Duplicate filtering collapses rapid repeat clicks — double-taps, refreshes, retry loops — into one countable click, typically within a configurable window (seconds to 24 hours).
Why both sides want it
Operators paying per-click or judging EPC need denominators that mean something; honest affiliates need their conversion rates not to be diluted by their own users’ double-clicks. Distinct from fraud filtering: duplicates are usually innocent. The same infrastructure, tuned harder, catches click spamming — which is not.
