Why it’s the standard

“Revenue is up” means nothing until cohorts say whether new players are better or old ones are aging into value. Program applications: source cohorts price deals (how do Partner X’s March FTDs look by June?), bonus cohorts price promotions, market cohorts guide expansion. The affiliate-facing version — cohort views in portal reporting — is a differentiating platform feature: partners who can see their cohorts mature trust revshare math they’d otherwise dispute.
