11 Aspects of Practical Spiritual Science

Practical spiritual science deals with several aspects, which are all different, yet nonetheless connected. In this blog post, we will discuss motif, trust, trials, refinement, transformation, strength, pride, reward, meditation, altruism, solidarity, etc.

Motif

The right motive for seeking self-insight is about focusing on insight and not on yourself. Self-insight is essential, but it is only due to the knowledge one can acquire, and it has nothing to do with one’s self. One must seek self-insight from devotion to insight and understanding, and the self-insight will eventually become a reward in itself. If one becomes impatient, it indicates that the person works for reward and not for devotion, and it proves that one does not deserve the victory that awaits the person who seriously works with love and affection.

Trust

The Divine in Man – i.e. all that is loving, true, fair, certain, and good – must be the only true and permanent driving force – the only unwavering faith that can always be trusted. The inner divinity never fails, though everything else fails. It is a confidence one must try to create until the negative karma is once processed, and the soul is freed from its prison. The door to freedom is called satisfaction. If one is dissatisfied with oneself, one is dissatisfied with the divine law that is the cause of being one. If you realize that you are in the midst of the evolution of evolution, you will understand that all circumstances and situations are always the right ones.

Attitude

When planned actions fail, it is really the greatest help you can get. If all plans are always successful, you never become aware of contradictions. The plans can be based on ignorance and therefore it is positive when you are prevented from doing them. You are not blamed for the plan itself, but you can create negative karma if you refuse to accept that it is impossible to realize it. And if one gets depressed, the mindset is weakened to the same extent. You can sit in a prison and still work for the case. Therefore, there is a good reason to never be dissatisfied with the circumstances. If it succeeds in considering everything in life as exactly what one actually wanted, it will not only stabilize the mind and emotional life, it will also make the physical body stronger.
understanding

You have to act, but you have to act intelligently and only when the time is up for action. One must be able to wait, but one must wait with patience when the time comes for inaction. This means that one comes into harmony with the ebb and the nature of nature. In this way one gets the nature and the law in the back when one performs his service work. If one does not know this legality, the result will be periods of either hasty enthusiasm or confused discouragement. You thus become a victim of the tidal movement instead of controlling it.

“Be patient, aspirant, like a human being,
where neither fear defeat,
or are in search of victory. ”

Refinements

Accumulated energy cannot be degraded. The energy must be transferred to other forms or channeled for other purposes. It is also not possible to keep the energy in an inactive state and just continue with its life. It is futile to try to suppress a passion you do not master. Energy accumulation is growing, and if it is not channeled for other purposes, it will grow until it becomes stronger than both the will and reason. To master the energy, it must be led to another and higher purpose. Bonding to a desire can, therefore, be transformed into love for something exalted. The cargo can be transformed into a virtue by changing its goals. Passion is a blind and instinctive energy. It always flows in the direction you yourself lead it. The reason is a better guide than the instinct. Accumulated anger always finds some object that it can let its fury go beyond. If the energy is not diverted, it will create an explosion that destroys the human being who has accumulated it. The same goes for love.

After a storm, there will be no wind. Past wise men have said that nature does not accept a void. One cannot break down or remove a passion. Spiritual science states that if one represses it, the influence of another element will take its place. You should therefore not try to destroy the negative without replacing it – but you have to replace the negative with something positive. Bad habits must be replaced with good habits – ignorance with insight. And, as you know, diamonds are under great pressure.

Strength

A disciple has to believe in his innate ability to progress. A human must never be intimidated by his own higher nature and feel attracted to his lower and more material nature. The past shows that resistance is no excuse for discouragement and not at all for depression. If so, many of the wonders of civilizations would never be created. When the development path is chosen, most of all need strength to move forward. But where is it? When you look around, it is not difficult to see where others find their strength. The source of their strength is deep conviction. The insight increases, the more you use it. Ie The more you teach, the more you learn.

Pride

If you think that you are more spiritual than others, or if you are proud of being free of desire or very knowledgeable, and if you think you are aware or otherwise in a higher level than his fellow men, the door of discipleship is closed. Morality and wisdom are somewhat exalted and great, but if the properties result in pride and a notion of being separated from the rest of humanity, it is only the lower nature that appears in a finer disguise. The ability to create a balance that cannot be shaken by personal emotions is the first rule of the development path. The serious disciple translates his positive plans into practical action and never lets them stay at the planning stage.

Reward

Anyone acting on selfish grounds cannot access consciousness plans where personal considerations do not exist.

“Are you not interested in heaven,
but are satisfied wherever you are,
are you already in heaven? ”

Freedom for personal desires is to be free and happy. And “Heaven” can only be interpreted as a state of freedom and happiness. If one performs good deeds in the hope of reward, one is not happy, because if one gets his reward or does not get it, happiness is over. There can be no question of permanent serenity and happiness, as long as there is a task to be performed and which has not been completed – and completed work carries the wage in itself. The only real method is to let the motive of the action be the action itself and never the salary to do it.

Meditation

Spirituality is achieved through concentration. The concentration must be continuous to yield. Meditation has been defined as “cessation of active thought activity toward the outside”. Concentration for a particular purpose is actually the deeper essence of life. For example, a loving mother is a woman who first and foremost thinks about the well-being of her children, and not a man who sits all day and focuses on one of their specific interests. Thoughts propagate, and when the thought is focused on a particular idea, the idea becomes colored by the idea, and therefore related thoughts are created in the mind. The meditator thus achieves gradual insight into all aspects of the theme of meditation. Life is a great teacher. Life is the manifestation of the soul, and the soul is a manifestation of the highest.

Altruism

The man who does not practice altruism and is not ready to share with a fellow human being who is weak or poor – the person who neglects to help a fellow man because of his sex, race , nationality or religion – the person who does not helps when it sees suffering and ignores a fellow human’s cry for emergency – the person who hears accusations of an innocent fellow man and fails to defend it, as it would defend himself – is not esoteric.

The most valuable thing in life is a lofty ideal that one can constantly navigate for. The ideal can shape thoughts, feelings, and actions in the many situations of life. For example, if a person tries to make a difference instead of just wanting it, it will inevitably approach his goal. The safest and most direct path to spiritual development and higher consciousness is to practice altruism both in thought and practice.

Transformation from within

If you fight for political reforms before you have changed the nature of man, it corresponds to pouring new wine on old bottles. If one can inspire people to feel and understand their real and true duty to their fellow human beings, abuse of power and unfair laws will vanish into national politics, for both abuse of power and unfair laws derive from social or political selfishness. If you try to cleanse your garden for weeds by cutting them at the surface of the soil instead of ripping them up, you act unintelligently. You will never be able to carry out a long-lasting political reform as long as it is the same selfish and power-loving people in charge of the system.

Solidarity

In the sociology and in all branches of the natural sciences, the universal law applies. The logical consequence of the Natural Law is the solidarity between people, which the spiritual science attaches so much importance to. When each person’s actions affect everyone else – and that is the central spiritual science idea – true solidarity that refines humanity can only be achieved by the fact that all people practice genuine brotherhood in daily life. It is an attitude in which each individual lives for everyone and everyone for each one. It is one of the esoteric basic principles that every esotericist is obliged to pursue in his daily life.

Selfishness, greed, indifference, and brutality are not the normal state of humankind. If one thinks that, one has in fact abandoned any hope for humanity, and an esotericist will never do so. Progress can only be developed by developing human ethical and moral qualities. Evolution has shown that it is not possible to change and refine an organism by changing its surroundings. And that applies to a great extent to man. Every esotericist is therefore obliged to do everything possible to support any intelligent and deliberate attempt to improve the conditions of the poor and the poor of society. The intention is to both the poor and the weak social emancipation and the development of their sense of duty.

Self-sacrifice

An esotericist gives to others to a greater extent than to himself. It is called self-sacrifice. It is a principle that has characterized mankind’s greatest teachers and masters – eg. Buddha and Jesus. Their self-sacrifice is the cause of the continued respect and gratitude of later generations. But self-sacrifice must be performed with discernment. It has been found that self-sacrifice in many cases has not only been in vain but directly harmful. That is the case if the self-sacrifice is not combined with justice or if it is performed in the blind without a clear purpose.

One of the basic principles of spiritual science is justice to itself – not as a personality, but as part of humanity. One must show justice to oneself as much as to others – neither more nor less – except for the situations where the individual’s sacrifice is beneficial to the many. Spiritual science calls for moderation, but not for thoughtless and useless self-sacrifice. And it does not call for fanaticism at all.

No human being has the right to say that it cannot do anything for others. A glass of cold water stretched to a thirsty hike is worth more than many expensive dinners given at the wrong time and place to people who can afford to pay for the food themselves. You do not become esoteric if you do not have it in itself. With charity, esotericists believe personal effort for the benefit of others, personal compassion, and kindness, personal interest in the sufferer, personal sympathy, care and help in relation to their difficulties or needs.
