QuantCast.com is yet another competitor to Alexa rank, which presents the demographics of web sites as well as the estimated monthly unique visitors, similar sites and the profile of a typical visitor of the site.
Sounds good? No, it’s not. From my little checking, the results turned to be WAY unreliable. For instance, I checked my other blog — Top Photoshop Tutorials and it said that the estimated monthly U.S visitors amount is below 2,000. While on some day toptut.com gets more than 2,000 visitors a day (!) I can only but say that the data is slightly inaccurate. However, if you are dissatisfied with the results, you can register, and fixed the bad data by displaying their widgets on your site allowing them to gather the info.
Cool, so they say you have no traffic, and if you want to prove the world it’s wrong, you have to:
- Link to them using a banner.
That’s pretty much WORSE than Alexa…

Hi there. Krista from Quantcast here.
To clarify, there is no banner required in order for us to directly measure your traffic.
Rather, you place a small pixel (bit of code that is unique to you as a publisher) into the underlying HTML of your site’s pages.
Its quick and easy to do. Go to Quantcast.com and click “Learn More.”
Thanks!
Hi,
This stuff gives the real information one needs. One can feel like reaching the destination.
I have a query though – Usual sites like dig.com and muti.com declare “spam” when I try bookmarking there.
I don’t have any spam pages or websites.
Can you help me regarding this matter?
Thanks.
