While there are a few success stories about Adsense gurus who managed to make 5 figure sum from Google ads (and I am no saying it’s false), most today’s internet entrepreneur happened to be bloggers. Why?

For some reason, I figured that blog, as a piece of software, has more potential than any other website. First of all, there is the sponsored posts mania. PR6 blogs with massive traffic can easily harvest 400-300 USD per a nicely done review, which is something you can never gain with a static html website, even if it was PR7. Slim chance you will earn that much from adverting, and remember that most sponsored reviews take about 10-40 minutes to complete. Even 100$ per 1 hour of work is till a pretty decent salary.

How can you make sponsored reviews? Best idea would be PayPerPost, their market is huge and you can make quite a lot of money even with PR0 and no traffic. Just to give you an idea, this blog earnt over 400$ over the past month (it does have, however, PR3 and good traffic) and PPP pay very accurately in time. You might want to give it a try…

Most bloggers make money off sponsored reviews alone and I can confirm that this IS a great opportunity for writers. All you need is a domain name investment, WordPress is free and about 5k WP themes are available for a free download at different websites. Which means you only need about 9$ for your own TLD, and then just work and your time.

Also, you can sign up with Sell Text Link Ads and start selling text links ads (I do, even though they take a 50% cut, it’s still decent and easy money. I earnt 107$ from Sell Text Link Ads this month, from a few sites). They also have a referral program that pays 25$ per year publisher or advertiser you referred, also very nice extra payout. Remember, as been a blogger you can always review your own affiliate and make even more. That’s yet another advantage of the blog. One of many I should say, which is why bloggers are almost always richer.

Nice article, dunno if anyone really achieves 5 figures though.

I think it is also important not to have all your eggs in one basket, I have heard stories of Google shutting down Adsense accounts without any reason or explanation.

The text link ad’s look interesting, might give it a go!

Plus blogging adds a sense of community for readers enabling them to add their voice via comments, polls, mybloglog, etc. This will bring readers back more than a basic non-blog website.

You have to have multiple income sources…never know when google will make your pages disappear. Ask John Chow.
