After some thought I decided that I will activate the ‘follow’ plug in for this blog. What does this mean? It means if you leave a comment here, (unlike most other blogs which automatically add a ref “nofollow” to the links in comments), your link will count towards your ranking. This blog is PR3, and comment on ANY of the posts will give you a genuine PR3 backlink. Free.
The logic is… You took the time to visit my site, and even bothered to leave a comment, so why not to give you something in return? However, I’d kindly ask you not to abuse the system, comments will still be in queue for moderation and entries which I find to be obvious spam will not be approved.

Hey There, Check out this plugin I wrote. Basically, It only removes rel=”nofollow” from TRACKBACKS only. Therefore returning the favor to those who have favored you, not some random commentator.

The few, the brave…well, one thing that follow gave you is fantastic page rank. I’ve noticed sites adding this feature are getting both- spam but also spammers who must get caught up in what people are actually saying…cause the comments are getting better. glad you tried it out. i’m considering.

I am also thinking of encouraging comments by making this move, but at the same time, I am concern about too much spam comments which drops the quality of the blog content. What has your experience being like so far?
