First ReviewMe launched the “marketplace” to beat the competition with PPP, and now PPP offer direct review opportunities for bloggers, to beat the competition with ReviewMe.

The disadvantage of ReviewMe here, is that they charge 50% of the money YOU charge for a review, means if you want to earn 100$ for a post, you need to set your price to 200$, - a price that not everyone would pay for a 200-word small review, which does not even guarantee a positive note. PPP Direct only charges a 10% fee, 5% of which goes to transaction fees for PayPal and credit card processing, this means if you want to earn the same 100$, you don’t need to double your price to some unreal sum to cover the fees in between. This would allow your blog to “catch” a bigger amount of advertisers, and put more in your pocket, rather than in the middle man’s pocket.

The second advantage of blogging for PPP direct is that small blogs (with no Page Rank, high Alexa and Technorati rank, etc) who normally never even get approved by ReviewMe or other competitor networks, get a chance to promote themselves as blogs that accept sponsored reviews and start earning pocket money even before they gain a decent PageRank.

Disadvantages? To be honest, none that I can think of. PPP direct does not require exclusivity, i.e. you can still participate in other sponsored review networks and you can set the price manually, so you are also not bound to any particular price set by PayPerPost, if you feel that your reviews worth 50$, that would be your price and this will be the sum going to your pocket. It’s nice to see PPP network expanding and working towards the bloggers convenience, rather than themselves.
