Magician vs Magician

Hello everyone,

Today is my first post on this blog, and I thought I would start off talking about one of my favorite things in the world, Movies. I am going to talk about two movies in particular. They are The Prestige and The Illusionist. Both Movies came out a while ago on dvd. Both are about magicians. Both in theaters in 2006. Though that is the only similarities. The Illusionist is probably the lesser known one. I really forgot abou it untill it came out on dvd. I wanted to see the Prestige for a long time, but it wasnt out yet. So I went and rented the Illusionist expecting an ok movie. It turned out that this movie was VERY good. It has a great storyline, and one of my favorite actors, Edward Norton is in it. This movie focus’ on one magician, as opposed to the Prestige, which focus’ on two. Now the Prestige is very well known. It was directed by the director of Batman Begins. Just like the Illusionist, the main charachter, played by Christian Bale, is also one of my favorite actors. The Prestige focus’ on two competing magicians. This is a very different storyline than the Illusionist. The special effects int his movie are also greater. So when it comes down to it, which movie is better? I prefer the Prestige because of the storyline, but the Illusionist is one of my favorite movies now too, so its hard.
